Centre for Music and Science

We cohosted a workshop entitled "Decoding Musical Structure: Theory, Computation, and Neuroscience" together with Martin Rohrmeier (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) and Markus Neuwirth (Anton Bruckner University Linz). The workshop took place at the beautiful location of Monte Verità, Ascona, Switzerland. The purpose of this workshop was to bring together the oft-disconnected disciplines of cognitive neuroscience, computational modelling, and music theory, and develop initiatives for researchers from these three disciplines to work together better. We had an excellent few days with many interesting debates, new plans for collaborations, and music making!
