Xiaoxuan Wang

Xiaoxuan Wang completed his MPhil at the Centre for Music and Science in 2023. He went on to PhD studies at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, working in Martin Rohrmeier’s Digital and Cognitive Musicology group. His research there focuses on three interrelated aspects: the neural encoding of physical sound into auditory perception of music, the implicit learning of musical structure through listening and re-listening, and the emergence of personal musical preferences from listening and re-listening.
