Ivan Jimenez is a music cognition researcher affiliated with the Sibelius Academy in Finland. He specializes in studying the perception and memory of chords and chord progressions. He holds a doctorate in music theory and composition and previously taught music theory at the University of Pittsburgh in the United States, and at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, Colombia.
