A new multimodal dataset for contextualised study of expressive interpretations.
The ORgAN Dataset is an open‑access, multi‑modal research resource designed to support quantitative, qualitative, and mixed‑methods studies of expressive musical performance, performer expertise, and the interaction between musicians and their instruments. It brings together synchronised audio, video, MIDI, demographic, linguistic, and interview data from 30 professional organists, all performing the same repertoire on two contrasting pipe organs at the University of Cambridge.
